Threading Tools
Drill Service holds large stocks of all types of Taps and Dies and can source anything not listed on our website. Taps and dies are used to create screw threads (known as ‘threading’) – Taps make nuts and a die makes a bolt. Forming threads using a tap is known as tapping, but using a die calls the process threading.
Our Threading Tools are predominantly sourced from French Engineering Works (FEW) – based in South Africa. We stock both hand and machine taps depending on your job specifications. Application machine taps for through and blind holes in stainless steel, high resistance steels, cast iron and non-ferrous metal products are available ex-stock. FEW manufactures to ISO, DIN and JIS specifications. The wide range of thread forms readily available include M, MF, UNC, UNF, UNEF, UN, NPS, NPT, BSW, BSF, BA, BSB, BSP G / RP, and BSPT RC.
Also available in this range are Drill Taps, Thread Milling, Wrenches, Die Stocks, Thread Gauges, Tap Extensions, Die Adapters and a range of Thread Inserts to suit a variety of applications.
